Assembly Attire- Students do NOT need to wear Assembly Attire on Monday, October 12. They will need to wear it, however, for our Awards Assembly on October 13. Please remember navy shorts, pants, and skorts/skirts are not part of assembly attire.
Awards Assembly- Our First Quarter Awards Assembly will be on October 13, at 8:30am. All are welcome to attend! The students will recite My Shadow, as well as songs they've learned in Music class. Assembly attire will be required on this day, and families have already been notified if their child will be receiving an award.
Fall Festival- Our annual Fall Festival is on November 13, from 5:00-8:00. The students always love this super fun event! Kindergarten will be hosting a Cake Walk booth and all proceeds from the booth go back to our grade level. We need your help in order to make this event a success. Our biggest need is for volunteers to run the booth. That sign up can be found HERE. We also need donations for the event, and that sign up can be found HERE. Thank you in advance for making the event a success!
Bate's Nut Farm- Our first field trip will be to the Bate's Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch! We will be riding the bus to the farm on Thursday, October 29. The field trip packets are PAST DUE. If you have not already turned in your packet please contact your child's teacher. Please make your field trip donation HERE if you haven't already. Thank you to the parents who signed up to donate a snack or water for our trip. The snack sign up is full, but can be viewed HERE.
Red Polo- We will be asking that students wear a red school polo shirt to all of our field trips. If you don't have one, please purchase one by our first field trip on October 29.
Meet the Masters- Our next Meet the Masters art project will be October 15. If you are cleared and would like to help our class with the project, please sign up HERE.
No School- There will be no school for students on Friday, October 30 and Wednesday, November 11.
Thanksgiving Treat- The kindergarten classes will be learning about the first Thanksgiving and we will be having a Thanksgiving snack and dessert to celebrate the end of the unit. If you'd like to donate an item, please sign up HERE.
Snacks- Please be sure to send a snack with your child everyday, even if they get school breakfast and lunch. They are hungry by snack recess time and snacks are not provided by the school. Please be sure your child knows what their snack is and where it is in their backpack.
Weekly Reminders:
* Return library books every Monday (or Wednesday if Monday is a holiday)
* Early dismissal every Wednesday- k gets out at 1:30
* Patriots day is every Friday and students can wear jeans a school spirit shirt
* Write your child's name on all of their belongings
* Send BEE binders everyday
* Homework packet is due every Friday- don't forget to sign the reading log. Math homework is due daily.
